Actor Michael Rosenbaum played the character Martinex, a small supporting part in all three Guardians of the Galaxy films. He is now saying his character was supposed to play a bigger role in the franchise.

Speaking at Nashville Comic Con, Rosenbaum said his role was “supposed to be a lot bigger,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. He added that the editors “cut a lot out.”

“It was written in the script to see Martinex’s powers, which were really cool. But they had so much to talk about in the script that they ended up cutting it out at the end. And there was some other stuff,” he said.

Rosenbaum isn’t too bothered by having his role scaled back, however. He said he had a good time making the movies and he feels grateful for the experience.

Video game retailer GameStop has announced a round of layoffs due in part to inflation and “weakened consumer confidence” about the market, according to its CEO. This big move comes a few months after GameStop management fired its CFO and made cuts at Game Informer, among other places inside the company.
