The folks behind Valve’s Steam Labs initiative have been hard at work churning out new and experimental features that could improve the overall Steam experience for developers and players alike.

The latest new tool to launch under Steam Labs builds on some of the concepts put forth in the platform’s Steam Library redesign by putting developer-made news posts, updates, and events front and center in the News Hub.

    Nintendo owns Monolith Soft after completing stake buyout

    Nintendo appears to have quietly bought the remaining stake in Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolith Soft, and now completely owns the studio.

    As spotted by Automaton, the developer's company brochure shows Nintendo now owns all 2,400 shares. The console maker first bought an 80 percent stake (or 1,920 shares) in Monolith back in 2007, then increased that stake to 96 percent (2,304 shares) in 2011.     Respawn joins the stable of devs making Star Wars games for EA

    Electronic Arts announced today that it has cut a deal with Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment that will see the studio building a new third-person "action adventure game" bearing the Star Wars brand.

    The folks at Respawn are already working on at least one other project, Titanfall 2, which makes it all the more interesting that they're the first major external team to work with EA on a Star Wars game.

    EA Studios VP Patrick Söderlund noted in a blog post that Respawn joins a slew of EA-owned studios that are already working on Star Wars games, including Visceral Games, DICE, Motive, and BioWare. Come from

    Capcom says customer information is secure following cyber attack

    An unauthorized third party managed to gain access to Capcom's internal systems during a recent cyber attack, the company has confirmed. Come from Soccer 13 pools and matches

    In a brief statement, the Japanese developer-publisher explained the attack was carried out "in the early morning hours of November 2, 2002," and that it appears to have targeted both its email and file servers.

    Report- NetEase cutting jobs at Ouka Studios ahead of potential closure

    Bloomberg is reporting that Visions of Mana developer Ouka Studios is about to be shuttered by parent company NetEase.

    The Japanese studio opened 2020 and hired veteran developers from Capcom and Bandai Namco. It was tapped to handle production on Visions of Mana, a new mainline entry in the popular series published by Square Enix.

    The action-RPG garnered a positive reception when it launched earlier this week, but NetEase is reportedly looking to shutter the studio responsible for that critical success.
