Henry Cavill Is Officially Back As Superman Going Forward

With Black Adam hitting theaters this past weekend, star and producer of the film, Dwayne Johnson, has had no problems spoiling his own movie for audiences, revealing that there is a certain cameo included in a post-credit sequence.

The action star has said point blank that the biggest thing on his mind is the eventual showdown between Black Adam and Superman in a might versus magic all-out brawl. The biggest thing though, would Henry Cavill come back as Superman to make this happen? Turns out, yes. Yes, he would.

Cavill addressed his fans on his Instagram confirming his return as Superman, not just in Black Adam, but in all DC projects going forward.

“I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. Now that plenty of you have I wanted to make it official: I am back as Superman,” the actor announced. “What you saw in Black Adam is just a very small taste of things to come.”

Cavill humbly thanks his fans for supporting him and for their patience, saying both will be rewarded. While there are no writers or even a director attached, the big plan is for Cavill to star in at least one more solo Superman movie. Other movie appearances could potentially follow as DC Films gets an overhaul under new Warners film bosses Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy.

Getting Cavill back into the cape was long-fought. Johnson and his team were originally denied the cameo idea by then-DC film president Walter Hamada. But with his exit on the horizon, Johnson and his manager Dany Garcia, who also represents Cavill, went straight to De Luca and Abdy, who gave their collective blessing.

Cavill was first cast as Superman over a decade ago before filming Immortals for Legendary. His first outing was Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, followed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) where Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman shared the screen together for the first time. He was last seen in Justice League (2017) where DC films hit a creative snag after the latter failed to deliver box office expectations.

The actor has kept busy outside of being Big Blue as August Walker in Mission Impossible: Fall Out, Netflix’s Enola Holmes movies as Sherlock Holmes, as well as Geralt of Rivera from Netflix’s Witcher series.

I feel like I could re-run last year's editorial on the PlayStation Experience keynote, minus the bits about how it was a bold decision for the company to throw its own event (it's a still a smart one, but now it's not new.)

This year's PlayStation Experience keynote presentation saw the company blasting through game announcements left and right; it was like last year, but more so. Sony's presentation was peppy, full of games, and fully fan-oriented.

As in Las Vegas in 2014, so in San Francisco in 2015 — the company has the stage to itself (quite literally, as compared to an event like E3 or Gamescom) so there was no posturing. It was figuratively true, too — at l…

Two years ago, the studio secured $5.5 million in a round led by Transcend Fund to build its "high-quality prototype." This new round was led by Krafton, with additional contributions from Transcend, BitKraft, and Hypergryph.

In its statement, Ruckus highlighted that prototype as proof its development costs "remain much lower than triple-A, while the team still delivers that same level of quality and fun of titles with exponentially bigger budgets."
