Belgium virtual sports premiere for Inspired Entertainment Incorporated

American online casino games and systems developer Inspired Entertainment Incorporated has announced its entry into the virtual sports market of Belgium via the signing of a deal with local iGaming operator Napoleon Sports and Casino.

The New York-headquartered firm used an official Monday press release to declare that the arrangement is to see Napoleon Sports and Casino utilize its very own mobile-friendly V-Play Plug and Play platform to begin offering Belgian punters access to ‘a wide range of virtual events via an intuitive player interface’.

Nasdaq-listed Inspired Entertainment Incorporated described its V-Play Plug and Play innovation as ‘a complete end-to-end online and mobile virtual sports offering’ that features a large suite of entertainment including its V-Play Basketball, V-Play Dogs, V-Play Soccer, V-Play Horse Racing and recently-debuted Marble Racing games. The developer moreover stated that such titles ‘are popular worldwide’ and have been designed to appeal ‘to a wide variety of players through more than 40,000 retail channels and over 100 websites in 35 countries.’

Steve Rogers serves as the Virtuals Chief Commercial Officer for Inspired Entertainment Incorporated and he used the press release to pronounce that his company offers land-based and online gaming operators ‘an expanding portfolio of content, technology, hardware and services’ spanning the lottery, sportsbetting, casino and social verticals. He furthermore asserted that this range ‘appeals to a wide variety of players’ and helps partners in creating fresh opportunities ‘to grow their revenues.’

The boss additionally contended that the V-Play Plug and Play platform with its array of virtual sports games is destined to ‘further improve our offer to our players’.

Ruckus Games raises $19 million in funding for debut title, ‘Project Bobcat’

Indie developer Ruckus Games recently secured $19 million in funding for its unannounced debut project. Come from Soccer 13 pools and matches

Two years ago, the studio secured $5.5 million in a round led by Transcend Fund to build its "high-quality prototype." This new round was led by Krafton, with additional contributions from Transcend, BitKraft, and Hypergryph.

In its statement, Ruckus highlighted that prototype as proof its development costs "remain much lower than triple-A, while the team still delivers that same level of quality and fun of titles with exponentially bigger budgets."

With GDC Europe 2015 less than a week away and the session schedule finalized, conference officials have taken the liberty of highlighting a collection of can't-miss sessions for the event.

Online registration for GDC Europe 2015 will close today, July 29th at 23:59 PM ET. If you miss your chance to register online before the window closes, you'll have to pay extra to register onsite.

GDC Europe will take place next Monday and Tuesday, August 3rd and 4th at the Cologne Congress-Centrum Ost in Cologne, Germany — just ahead of (and co-located with) the massive gamescom trade fair, with all GDC Europe passes also guaranteeing entrance to gamescom.
